Parent Note – April 27, 2020

PARENT NOTE – April 27, 2020
“Blazin’ God’s Light”
Matthew 5: 15,16

FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
Keep up the great work, Huskies! I have enjoyed seeing your progress and reading the feedback that was left on our parent survey. At Highland Christian, we approach all of our work with a growth mindset, believing that we can always improve our practices. As we have navigated this distance learning together, we have appreciated your feedback and are utilizing this information as we plan for the future.

Here are a few special updates:
1. All K-8 parents are encouraged to fill out the Google Form for the $250 credit (per student) that is being offered to help support families during this season of COVID-19. If you have not yet filled this out, please do so today.
2. We are looking forward to seeing you on Monday, May 4 between 3pm – 6pm for our May – Pick-Up/Drop-Off Day.
3. Highland Christian is partnering with Illiana Christian on Thursday night for an “All-Area Praise Crowd”. Mrs. Huizenga will be representing HCS for this Facebook Live Event.
4. Don’t forget about Chapel, which is happening this Thursday. Mrs. DeGraaf (HCS parent) will be helping lead us in worship. Chapel takes place weekly at 8:30am on Facebook!

I will leave you with a word of encouragement from Psalm 121, “I lift up my eyes to the hills – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.”

Blessings Always –
Kyle Weener
