PARENT NOTE – December 17, 2018
“Run YOUR Race”
Hebrews 12:1

FROM THE PRINCIPAL’S DESK
This will be a full week at HCS – as we get ready to prepare for Christmas – and make sure our work is done!  Hard to believe that we only have two weeks when we get back before we will be at the end of the quarter – and the half-way mark on running our race this year!
In addition to some fun activities with music, food and time with our multi-age teams we also will have the opportunity to present our second jog-a-thon gift.  What started out as “give one get one”, thanks to the hard work of our students and your generosity, became “give two get one”.  At our Christmas chapel on Friday, we will be presenting Love, Inc. with a check for $6,000.  How appropriate, that at Christmas when, for most kids, the focus is on what you get, HCS students have the privilege of focusing on what they can give.
I trust that you and your family will have a great Christmas break – and I look forward to seeing you in 2019 as we continue to “run the race marked out for us!”
