Get 1:Give 1 Jogathon

Walk-a-thon 2018

It’s time to gear-up for the the Get 1: Give 1 Jogathon!  The Get 1: Give 1 Jogathon is an opportunity for students to participate in the joy of getting & giving.  We are raising money to buy a Gaga Ball pit for the HCS playground but we ALSO want our students to experience the joy of charity!

Half the money students raise will be used to purchase a Gaga Ball Pit for Highland Christian School.  The other half will be given to an area Christian organization that serves children.  (SHHHH! We know who this will be but are keeping it a secret until the gift is ready to give!)

HOW:
Students will predict how many laps they are able to walk/run in the time they are given.  They will then ask friends and family to sponsor them!  (Enter Your Pledge Online)

If each student raises $25, we will raise $9000
If each student raises $30, we will raise $11,520
If each student raises $50, we will raise $18,000

Pledge forms are due on Wednesday, Sept 26th.

WHEN:
The Jogathon will take place on Friday, September 28, 2018.  The event will take place in the afternoon with students running in these time brackets:

12:35 – 1:05 pm    Primary students
1:15 – 1:55 pm     Elementary students
2:05 – 2:55 pm    Junior High students

WHO:
K-8 Students are encouraged to participate.  While the goal for each student is $25, we want all students to experience the joy of participating in this unique fundraising project.  No pledge is too small.  All students will participate  in event day activities.

Parents/Grandparents:  You are invited to join us on
the sidelines of the soccer field to cheer the students on!

Counting Laps:
K-2 Parents:  We invite you to be your child’s lap counter!
If you are able to participate with your child, please indicate this on the pledge form.
Junior High Students will count laps for students in 3rd-5th.
Junior High Teachers will count laps for students 6th-8th.
