Sonshine Enrichment Center

 Statement of Purpose

Sonshine Enrichment Center is an affiliate of Highland Christian School.  Our purpose is to provide a secure, loving Christian environment where children can develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and creatively. The emphasis is on helping children to gain a positive self-concept as a unique child of God and to glorify God in all aspects of life.

Philosophy of Education

We, at Sonshine Enrichment Center, believe that each child is special, created in the image of God. We encourage each child to recognize his/her value in God's world. We believe that in early childhood, children learn best through hands-on experiences. Play is an essential part of Sonshine Enrichment Center. Play is the way children construct their understanding of the world through active involvement with materials, people, and ideas. We recognize that each stage of a child's development is unique. Our developmentally appropriate environment offers hands-on experiences designed to build each child's sense of competence and self-esteem.

Enrollment

Enrollment forms are available at Sonshine Enrichment Center and in the Highland Christian School office. In order to complete the enrollment process, the form must be completed and returned with a $30.00 non-refundable registration fee. Enrollment is dependant on availability at the time the form is received. Children must be toilet trained before attending Sonshine Enrichment Center.  Registrations are accepted year round.
